Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using JobTailoring.com you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.

2. The service

JobTailoring provides job-fit analysis, evidence-guided CV and cover-letter tailoring, application history and interview-preparation tools for job seekers. The service is provided by SE Computers Ltd, Hamilton, New Zealand.

3. Your account

• You must provide accurate information when creating your account
• You are responsible for keeping your password secure
• You must be 16 or older to use this service
• One account per person — accounts are not transferable

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service to create false or misleading job applications
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the platform
• Share your account with others
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose

5. Generated application content — your responsibility to review

JobTailoring uses automated language-processing services and deterministic quality checks to transform the information you provide into application material. The system is designed to ground claims in your supplied evidence, but you remain responsible for what you submit to an employer.

• Review before use. Read and verify every CV, cover letter and supporting report before sending it to an employer, recruiter or third party.
• Your source information matters. You must not knowingly provide false, misleading or unlawful candidate information. Short or vague answers may be treated cautiously rather than as verified proof.
• Automated systems can still make mistakes. Despite evidence checks, outputs can contain errors, omissions or unsuitable wording. Correct anything that does not accurately reflect you.
• No employment guarantee. JobTailoring cannot promise an interview, job offer or employment outcome. Recruitment decisions remain with employers and recruiters.
• Interview preparation is guidance. Suggested questions and preparation material are not a prediction of what an employer will ask.

In summary: JobTailoring is designed to help you present your real evidence more effectively. Always read what you send and be ready to explain it in an interview.

6. Payments, allowances and corrections

Payments are processed through PayPal. Prices shown on the service are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) unless stated otherwise.

• Monthly memberships: recurring allowances are associated with the applicable billing period and reset only when a renewal is verified. You can cancel future renewal through the service's cancellation flow or PayPal, subject to PayPal processing.
• Purchased applications: pay-as-you-go and application-pack credits remain available until used unless a payment is reversed, refunded, disputed or otherwise invalidated.
• Member Add-Ons: available only to eligible active membership plans and subject to the limit displayed in the service for that billing period.
• Failed generations: when a generation fails before completion, the service is designed to restore the reserved application allowance automatically.
• Correction / regeneration credit: an eligible completed application may receive one correction credit within the period shown in the service. A correction credit is tied to the original application and is not a cash refund.
• Consumer rights: nothing in these terms removes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer law.

7. Data and privacy

Our use of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand and Australian consumer law:

• SE Computers Ltd is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of employment opportunity, reputational damage, or consequences arising from application material submitted to an employer.
• To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for inaccuracies, errors or omissions that you could reasonably have identified during the required review before submission.
• We are not liable for any outcome — positive or negative — resulting from a job application made using our service.
• Our total liability to you for any claim will not exceed the total amount you paid us in the 3 months immediately before the claim arose.
• Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (NZ) or the Australian Consumer Law where those acts apply.
